Vote for New Mexico Trucks for The Great Food Truck Race!

Oz Patisserie and Roxy’s Bistro – two familiar names to fans of Curbside Cuisine – have been nominated for the upcoming season of The Great Food Truck Race on the Food Network.

To vote for either truck – or both! – go to the Great Food Truck Race web site, register, look for New Mexico trucks, and vote.  You have ten votes per day.  The Food Truck receiving the most votes through September 12 will be named America’s Favorite.  Simply search for your Food Truck by location or name, click on the Truck photo, and then cast your votes.

Route 66 Summerfest – Saturday, July 23

Don’t miss the Route 66 Summerfest on Saturday, July 23 on Central Ave. between Girard and Washington in Nob Hill.  There will be great entertainment on three stages, KidsZone, an art and artisan market, the “Show and Shine” car show and more from 2 pm until 10:30 pm.

Don’t miss “Food Central” just west of Carlisle in front of the Nob Hill Business Center where you can enjoy the finest street food and the best of local restaurants and food artisans.

Route 66 Food Truck Round Up

As part of Savor Albuquerque, some of the vendors you see every week at Curbside Cuisine will be at 4th and Central from 4 pm ’til 8 pm, Friday, June 3.

Grab something delicious and mosey over to the Kimo Theater for the dedication of the theater’s new sign – a replica of the historic neon sign – and screening of Fritz Lang’s 1925 classic, Metropolis.  The dedication ceremony is free. Tickets to Metropolis are available through Ticketmaster.  According to the City of Albuquerque’s web site, the dedication starts at 7:30.

Warning – there a several calendars for these events with different times.  Check the links above, which should be the links to the hosting organization.  If you want to be sure not to miss anything, show up early and experience it all!
